It has languished sadly in cyberspace. That's what vacation, a career and a planning a wedding can do to you! A couple things had my mind back in art-quilt space. One is that I had a great time last night joining the Grateful Threads for art-play night last night. I got to (a) see some really beautiful work completed by the other members, (b) see a studio to die for that has me back to wanting to move again, and (c) try out some new techniques with watercolor pencils and Inktense (intense watercolor) pencils. All around fun. What's not to love? I'm excited and happy to be able to join this group - it will definitely motivate me to take my skills to the next level.
The other thing that motivated me was taking in some of my pieces for show and tell to a different group this morning, and realizing that NONE of them were complete! I would like to finish a few so that I can take them to the next GT meeting at the beginning of September. In all my FREE time!

Getting back to work...
Or at least thinking about it. by work, I mean art work. I was so motivated by QSDS. But then there was a week of decompressing at Dad's. Then getting home and having a big deadline. Then getting a bad cold, on top of a heavy meeting schedule. I'm still fighting the cold this week, and on top of that the wedding pressure is building. I'm behind on invitations, music, food...
So it's unlikely that I'll be jumping into art work any time soon. I brought back a friendship block from MQ last meeting, god knows why, except it was a very simple one that I felt I could do without mucking it up.
That growing list ------> of UFO's is weighing on me. lots of them really just need binding, or some finishing touches of quilting, then binding. Others might never happen and should just be written off as learning without needing to produce a finished product.
I did spend Sunday clearing the chaos from my desk so that I can reclaim some actual work space from the piles that seem to grow everywhere.

"Baby" Quilt given to its intended owner
I gave the "baby quilt" to Isabella for her fourth birthday yesterday. As I was hurriedly attaching a label of sorts to the back I discovered that the quilting of one of the hearts (on the green panels) was incomplete. Oh well, no time for that. This was the quilt that started it all, so it was a bit hard for me to part with, but I hope she will use it and enjoy it. Here she is proudly holding it up (backward).

FFFC #58 Celtic Knot
I did this over the 4th of July weekend. Other than that, no time to think about fabric. Work and Wedding consuming my attention.
